Finding it a Hassle to Follow a Diet and Exercise Plan?
How many of us have started off with the best intentions? We have a diet plan that we are going to follow. Have bought the food we need, noticed how much extra our food bill is going to be. Got our new trainers and exercise clothes and know exactly when we are going to exercise.
How long before we start to struggle with this, find ourselves getting bored and making excuses as to why we can not do this anymore. or quite simply as it is in many cases simply give up. Before we know it our weight loss is a distant memory and sometimes worse is to come. We end up putting on more weight than before. Off we go again, dismissing our attempt at weight loss as an, “Oh well I’ll start gain tomorrow”. Now we all know tomorrow never comes!!
For some of us though we do lose weight successfully and for a group of us we even manage to get to our perfect weight and maintain it.
So what are this group doing differently from the rest of us that means that they can lose weight and do lose weight? Well apart from anything else, they want it more and have the willpower and desire to succeed. How do you get this desire? One way is to picture in your mind what you want to look like and never forget this picture. Before you know it, this picture will start to become and eventually turn into reality. Eating sensibly will also make a huge difference. This does not mean cutting out everything and starving. simply planning and not over-eating, as portion sizes are a big problem.
We then come to exercise, and don’t groan because it really doesn’t have to be a chore. making it part of your daily life and routine will ensure you are able to maintain regular exercise. Fitting it in with a school run or on your way to work will make all the difference. Having a friend of member of your family to do this with you will give you that extra push.
A key thing to any weight loss and lifestyle change is being able to afford the food that you are eating. You are never going to stick to any meal plan if you cannot afford to buy the ingredients over a length of time. Especially, as this method is a permanent way of eating not a cutting out food and then introducing it back in at a later date.
